Shame you probably never saw some of the greatest of our midfielders play the game......the Brookings the Dev's, Bonzos. Otherwise you might have a clue what is a good game. If you did see them and you are still of that opinion then I'm afraid you are clueless full stop.

Sam as a manager should be saying to Nolan
"right then lad, ur the club captain, your great with the lads, im gonna start using u sparingly as an impact sub when chasing a goal etc..you have done alot for this club but ur legs are going and the last thing i want is the west ham fans to forget the good work you did in promotion and steadying the ship and just remember you for more recent times where its quite clear ur legs are on their way out mate. most importanly, there is a place for u at the club and the other players respect you but our play is evolving and i gotta pick my best 11"
and for fucks sake, can you please use more tongue and less gum, my arse aint gonna clean itself is it u scouse bitch

What can it be that is so bad, that Nolan has on the fat bloke, that can make him play every week.
So bad, that rather than benefit from 11 man (rather 10) each week, he is willing to risk his job again.
No qualified manager in the game would look at the opposition, and the players available in the squad and persist in handiapping the team like this.

Fats Dumbino will be hoping against hope for another contract.
If that happens he will find some way to engineer another one for Nolan.
Nolan keen to stay in London, no doubt, and keep the local ale houses in profit.
No sentiment. We need them both out of it sharpish.

Anyone able to dredge up some stats on how many times he actually touched the ball?

Only theory I can come up with is that both Allardyce and Nolan stand to gain financially by him being picked to play. That or Nolan has something on Allardyce.

Well he is useful for his goal poaching skills (all one of them this season)!

I've thought about this and kept scratching my head about why he gets picked so much.
Besides being a good talker and motivator and the other reasons Allardyce picks him I think it would be really easy to get into an Allardyce team once you really, really knew him well.
He obviously knows the statistics Allardyce concentrates on and the ones he ignores. If he has an aversion to misplaced passes NEVER do anything tricky that might or might not come off (Song and Downing do that) and just play the short, easy 5 yard pass.
If he judges a player on the effort he puts in just keep running and running looking busy and being a mobile bollard opposing teams have to pass around.
He does a lot of running and a lot of pointing, stands in the box making a nuisance of himself and his passes are 'deadly' accurate (it's normally about five passes a half, usually sideways). His only problem is that his goals have dried up. Sooner or later, even the fat one will notice that.

I've always tried to defend Nolan in regards to his place in the team, what he offers and what he's done for us in the past.
But fuck me he was absolute dog shit today.

I was wondering if he was playing as an interpreter (for them) but then Gerrard is on the outs and Jamie has been finally put out to seed .Noone else in their team really speaks that peculiar language..
Maybe it was his final game at his boyhood club and his neanderthal pal wanted to give him a final run out at Anfield. Hopefully it will be fatty's last trip to Anfield as well in his final season of taking our club hostage.

Well,.... apparently the girl that runs the little boutique round the corner reckons he lives next door to her & has on occasion banged on her door PAAF in the wee small hours, also allegedly he drove his motor onto her driveway also PAAF & knocked a post over.

Here are Nolan's stats and they are pretty awful. Shots ...............................2 Shots on target...............0 Key passes.....................0 Passes............................13 Passing accuracy.........46.2% Headers...........................1 Tackles.............................5 Interceptions....................3
That is bad for a captain of a top half table team and playing at the top of the diamond in midfield. I seriously wonder what Nolan has on SA....

FUCKING HELL!!
Amalfitano contributed nothing. Downing was fucking awful. Not to mention the chance he set up for Liverpool.
But the focus remains on Nolan.
